Jaidah Automotive has an exclusive arrangement with Chevrolet for the import and retail of its world-class automobiles and so the all-new Trailblazer will not be available anywhere else in the country.
The vehicle returns to the Qatari market with a host of improvements and refinements - improvements that make what is already a class-leading automobile even better.
Available in two- and four-wheel-drive configurations, the Trailblazer is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine with Variable Valve Timing matched with a six speed automatic transmission.
This delivers an optimal balance of power, performance and fuel economy. It is rated at 236 horsepower, and delivers excellent fuel economy of 12.2 L/100km. According to Chevrolet, the Trailblazer boasts 'rugged SUV capability with a car-like ride'.
The Trailblazer's foundation for both its on- and off-road capabilities is its robust body-on-frame architecture. With the support of an independent five-link rear suspension, a feature found in more upmarket, premium SUVs, the Trailblazer displays none of the typical characteristics of conventional body-on-frame SUVs. In fact, it enjoys a combination of best-in-class luxurious ride and responsiveness.
Power and performance improvements under the bonnet are matched by a range of interior enhancements which deliver a cabin that is spacious, refined and flexible. The leather bucket seats augment a dynamic instrument cluster combined with LED illumination to create a sophisticated appearance.
The seven-passenger interior offers intuitive three-row tumble and/or fold-flat seat versatility and best-in-class spaciousness in the third row. An auxiliary power plug with USB and Bluetooth connectivity now come as standard.
While we note the upgrades under the bonnet and inside the cabin, what can we learn about the look of the new Trailblazer? The exterior exudes what Chevrolet calls 'sophisticated muscle'. A dramatic power dome in the hood combined gives the vehicle a strong, purposeful appearance, while higher-mounted dual projector headlamps emphasize the visual strength of the vehicle.
An integrated aluminium roof rack system (capable of carrying up to 100kg) creates a clean, uncluttered and refined look while integrated running boards aid entry and exit from the vehicle and serve as enhanced protection from road debris. The six-spoke, 18-inch machined aluminium wheels not only provide a stylish look, but are optimized for ride, handling performance and stopping performance. The Trailblazer is available in eight exterior colors: Summit White, Switchblade Silver Metallic, Black Sapphire Metallic, Royal Grey Metallic, Sizzle Red, Auburn Brown, Oceanic Blue and Blue Mountain.
Power and performance are nothing without safety - and safety is also going to go a long way to having your Trailblazer the most attractive midsize SUV on the road. The all-new vehicle boasts an impressive array of active and passive safety features, including: Electronic Stability Control; ABS; Traction Control; Hill Descent Control; Hill Start Assist and Rear Park Assist, as well as six air bags for driver and occupant protection.
