Remains of Red Army soldiers reburied with full military honors in south of Brest.
In the first years of the war a camp "Revir" for Soviet prisoners of war was situated there. According to estimates, during 10 months about 15,000 people died there of starvation, diseases and wounds. The soldiers of the 52nd search battalion have been excavating over this area for almost 6 months. The remains of 877 warriors were exhumed from 6 graves. The excavated medallions helped to establish the identity of the three soldiers. Their names have been submitted for a memorial.
